This course will learn how to install, test and maintain electrical systems safely and efficiently while gaining the theoretical knowledge and practical experience required to progress to advanced study or an electrical Apprenticeship.

On this course, you will learn:

  • Health and safety in building services engineering
  • Electrical installation theory and technology
  • Electrical installation methods, procedures and requirements
  • Practical craft skills in electrical installation
  • Electrical science and principles

You will be assessed through a combination of written tests, practical assignments and online exams.

You will need to have four GCSEs at Grade 4 or above in English, Maths and two other subjects.

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to progress onto a Level 3 Electrical Installation (Building & Structures) course.
