Accessibility

This accessibility statement applies to the Barking & Dagenham College website.

This website is run by Barking & Dagenham College. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. This means that you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard

Every page throughout the website includes smaller and larger text size options. The website uses only relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified ‘text size’ option in visual browsers.

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible is this website - we know some part of this website are not fully accessible:

  • you cannot modify the line height or spacing of text
  • some areas of the website feature complex data which is pulled in from external resources (such as course information and labour market information systems)
  • most older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
  • signed documents that have been scanned and uploaded may contain elements that are inaccessible to screen readers
  • older video streams do not have captions
