Earn while you learn with an Apprenticeship!

An Apprenticeship is a great way to start your career by combining work and learning. This is a paid job that includes training to help you gain the skills needed for your industry.

You’ll get hands-on experience on the job, plus spend at least 20% of your time learning in the classroom at college, working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Apprenticeships can last anywhere from one to four years, depending on the programme.
You’ll develop useful skills, gain work experience, and earn a salary, all while working towards a qualification that can open doors to your future career.

How it works?

1. Choose Your Apprenticeship

BDC offers a wide range of apprenticeships across different industries, including business, digital, health, engineering, construction, and more. Whether you're just starting your career or looking to advance your skills, there's an apprenticeship to suit you.

2. Find an Employer

To begin an apprenticeship, you must first secure a role with an employer. Our Apprenticeship Team can support you by offering advice and resources to help you find an employer in your chosen field.

3. Apply to BDC

Once you have secured an employer, you can apply for the apprenticeship programme at BDC. Our team will guide you through the application process to ensure you're fully prepared.

4. Earn While You Learn

As an Apprentice, you'll earn a wage while working and studying. You'll split your time between your workplace, where you'll gain hands-on experience, and BDC, where you'll receive training and academic support from expert tutors.
