This course will provide you with an introduction to cybercrime where you will understand routine protective methods used to maintain cybersecurity including the principles of vulnerability and penetration testing and user access control.

The core learning areas on this course will cover:

  • Common forms of cybercrime and motives
  • Protective methods to maintain cybersecurity
  • The importance of cybersecurity testing
  • Legislation and codes of conduct related to cybersecurity

You will need to submit a portfolio of evidence to show your understanding and knowledge.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but you will need to show a keen interest in cyber security.

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to progress onto the Level 2 Award in Cybersecurity.

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
