This course is designed for you if you want to develop and extend your digital skills to prepare for employment for different roles in the digital and creative industries, such as software and programming, network support and digital design.

The qualification is also designed for job roles in other industries where specific digital skills are required, such as finance, marketing and machining and manufacturing.

This course includes a mandatory unit along with optional units that relate directly to the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected by employers and covers a wide range and use of different digital technologies, systems and software.

On this course, you will learn:

  • Presentation Software
  • Spreadsheet Software
  • Word Processing Software
  • Digital Skills Career Progression

You will be assessed through exams, coursework, a portfolio of evidence, presentations and group work.

There are no specific entry requirements, however, the completion of a Level 1 Essential Digital Skills qualification is preferred.

On completion of this course, you will be able to progress into IT and Digital pathways.

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
