We are excited for the opening of our new salon in September 2024. This facility will provide students in all hair and beauty courses with a professional space to develop and refine their skills, preparing them for successful careers in the industry.

Throughout the course, you will benefit from expert demonstrations and develop the essential skills needed for a successful career in hair and beauty. Key learning areas include:

  • Client Consultations
  • Make-Up Techniques
  • Manicure Skills
  • Hair Plaiting and Twisting

Additionally, you will be exposed to cutting-edge industry techniques from leading professionals, such as those from Eve Taylor.

Assessment is portfolio-based, incorporating both practical demonstrations and written components.

You will need to have GCSE Maths, English Language and two additional subjects at grade 2 (E) or above.

As part of the application process you will also be asked to explain why you want to study this course, so that we can ensure any course offer made aligns to your career goals.

On this course, you will work with real clients, including members of the public and fellow students. Enhance your learning with trips to Wella Studios and industry days for a broader perspective on the beauty and hair sectors.

Upon completing the course, you have several pathways to advance your career. You can progress to our Level 2 course, which is essential for entering the beauty and hair industry. Alternatively, we can connect you with our apprenticeships team to explore apprenticeship opportunities with local employers.
