During the course you'll also get a taste of styling for paying customers through work experience placements.
You'll get a real insight into the hair & beauty industry on this course.
You'll also learn basic practical makeup and hairstyling skills.
There's a mixture of practical assessments, online exams and assignments.
As well as learning in our realistic working facilities, you could also attend showcase events to demonstrate your skills.
You will need to have GCSE Maths, English Language and two additional subjects at grade 2 (E) or above.

The tutors on this course have outstanding knowledge and experience from working in the hair & beauty industry, as well as valuable industry links to help you gain an insight into the industry.
There are many opportunities for you to work in realistic industry environments, thanks to our commercial salons.
As well as doing work experience placements, you'll be styling for paying clients in our Salon and Hair Bar.
Successfully complete this course and you can choose from our Level 2 programmes to develop your skills further.
