This Entry Level course provides foundational knowledge into the Hair and Beauty sector.
Designed to build on your interests, covering a wide range of skills from hair styling to basic make up and nail art, you will learn how to build a portfolio and generate evidence, as well as develop basic hairdressing skills.
You will get to train in the brand new Hair Society salon, where you can learn in a professional commercial space, developing and refining your skills to prepare you for a career in the industry.
If you do not have any previous qualifications in Hair and Beauty but want to learn more, this course is for you!
On this course, you will learn:
- Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector
- Presenting a Professional Image in a Salon
- Styling Women’s Hair
- Shampoo and Conditioning
- Plaiting and Twisting Hair
You will be assessed through end of unit online exams and will need to present a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates you knowledge and understanding.
You will need to have grades in English & Maths.
On completion of this course, you will be able to progress onto the next level of a Hair or Beauty course, at either Level 1 or Level 2.
