Adam Gemili is a British sprinter.
Adam studied Sport at Barking & Dagenham College wanting to become a footballer but soon realised his love for Athletics.
After graduating from BDC, Adam made his Olympic debut at the 2012 London Olympics, where he reached the semi-finals, whilst also claiming the Junior World Championships title in the 100m in the same year.
Adam has achieved great athletic success competing in many competitions, including the European Championships, Commonwealth Games and World Championships and his sprinting medal tally is growing rapidly.
In 2024, he came back to visit Barking & Dagenham College to provide a talk on Resilience and Motivation. As well as providing a motivational talk, he also got the chance to tour the state-of-the-art facilities and meet and greet some of the learners.
