This programme is for any learner who wishes to have a career in the gaming/animation industry.

Learners will develop the skills, knowledge and understanding they require to progress onto further education or training in related subject areas. You will also develop creative skills which are valued in other creative areas.

Learners will learn a range of skill through several different units. The units delivered on this programme are;

  • Exploring and Developing Creative
    Media Skills
  • Personal Development
  • Responding to a Creative Brief

All learners will be assessed via internal assignment briefs. There are no external exams on this programme.

You will need to have GCSE Maths, English Language and two additional subjects at grade 3 (D) or above.

As part of the application process you will also be asked to explain why you want to study this course, so that we can ensure any course offer made aligns to your career goals.

All our teaching staff are highly skilled, enthusiastic and experienced in the Gaming/Animation industry.

We have many links with high profile organisations in both the gaming and animation industries.

This course would lead onto either our BTEC Level 3 Extended diploma in Games, Art & Animation or onto our BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Esports.

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
