If you're interested in a career as a Nursery Practitioner or Classroom Assistant this course will give you the perfect start.

To work with children you need at least a Level 2 qualification, so this course is perfect preparation to go on to study at the next level.

You'll benefit from excellent teaching resources and a real work environment.

You'll learn how to work with children between birth and 5 years of age. The course will cover the value of play, roles and responsibilities of carers and volunteers and the importance of developing links in the local community.

You will need to have a GCSE grade 2 in English. We'll also need a reference of past behaviour and attendance.

On completion of the 12-week course you can join our other Level 1 short course in Caring for Children, before progressing to a Level 2 course in Childcare.
