This one-year, full-time Business course is focused on developing transferable practical and technical skills, attributes and behaviours so you are ready to progress onto further study and employment.

You'll study a total of 10 units of which 4 are core skills units and the remaining are business specific skills units. You'll develop your communication skills, team work, problem solving, time management, organising and personal development through participating in discussion, entrepreneurial and charitable projects, fundraising events, business competitions and written assignments.

  • Researching a Topic

Sector Specific Units:

  • Organising a Meeting
  • Branding a Product
  • Creating a Visual Display
  • Presenting a Business Idea
  • Contributing to Running an Event
  • Recording Income and Expenditure

All units are internally assessed and are graded as Distinction, Merit, Pass or Unclassified, subject to external standards verification.

There is no exam on this course.

You will need to have GCSE Maths, English Language and two additional subjects at grade 2 (E) or above.

As part of the application process you will also be asked to explain why you want to study this course, so that we can ensure any course offer made aligns to your career goals.

You could progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Business or Administration.

Alternatively, you could progress to a Level 2 Apprenticeship or traineeship.
