This qualification will particularly suit individuals with minimal work experience or those who require additional support to progress.

This may include younger learners, those on traineeships seeking basic employability skills, adults seeking to validate their existing skills to enter into the workplace, or those who want to study higher level AAT qualifications but would like to test their abilities before progressing further with AAT.

You'll learn how to perform basic finance tasks required by employers including:

  • Coding of financial documents
  • Maintaining day books
  • Checking financial documents
  • Double-entry bookkeeping
  • Working within bookkeeping

You will complete online assessments.

Level 1 qualification in English and Maths or working at a good level of English and Maths as evidenced by GCSE Results (16-18 year olds) or initial diagnostic assessments (Adults) . You should have basic IT skills.

Tutors are qualified accountants with years of experience in industry and in delivering AAT qualification courses.

Work experience can help develop your skills and improve your job prospects for the future. We'll support students looking for placements.

Upon successful completion of this course, you can progress to the AAT Level 2
