This level 2 qualification aims to give you an understanding of the journey to becoming a counsellor, including the skills and knowledge you are likely to acquire on the way.
It also offers insights into the counselling landscape and emphasises the benefits of in-person and online remote learning, providing clarity as individuals start their path toward becoming a counsellor.
You'll gain knowledge and skills to work within the counselling ethical framework - a guide for best practice.
Learning is in accordance with the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Award Body.
There is an exam at the end of this course.
You will study one evening a week and be required to complete a weekly journal for your tutors to assess.
You'll have an interview with a counselling lecturer.
There might also be a need for a pre-screening assessment.
Our staff all have recent industry experience, and many of them continue to work in care alongside their teaching.
Once you've successfully completed this course, you can move onto the Level 3 Certificate.
