Interview
Your interview, if you need one, will be to discuss your experience, your qualifications, and to check your English & Maths skills. But it's also a good chance to for you to find out even more about your course and to be 100% sure it's right for you.
Your offer
Following your interview you’ll receive an email from us advising whether or not you’ve been offered a place.
If you’re successful your offer might be:
- ‘Unconditional’ – in which case the next step is enrolment!
- ‘Conditional’ – meaning you’ll have to pass an upcoming exam before we can confirm your place
If you receive a conditional offer but then don’t manage to meet the entry requirements to get on your course, speak to the course information team on 020 3667 0294. We’ll discuss your options and see if there’s another suitable course for you.
Enrolment
You'll hear from us once you've received an offer to let you know where and when to enrol.
Enrolment sessions are bookable, so you'll need to select a convenient date and time to complete the process. The earlier you attend, the more chance you have of securing a place on your chosen course. Places for next year cannot be guaranteed until you have completed the enrolment process.
What you'll need to bring...
To help speed up your enrolment, please bring the following information or evidence along with you when you attend your session.
Upon being assessed at enrolment, additional identification/documents maybe required. Please bring one item from the list below:
- UK Passport OR UK Birth Certificate OR British Driving Licence (only if you were born in the UK)
- EU Passport/ID Card AND proof of your Settled/Pre-Settled Status
- Non EU Passport showing a valid visa and any supporting documents
- Residency Cards and any supporting documents
Please bring your exam results (slip or certificates). If you are 16-18 you must bring any/all qualifications with you.
Payment methods: cash, credit or debit card.
Tuition fees above £300 for courses which run for more than 16 weeks, can be paid in instalments. The first instalment will be 25% of the tuition fee plus the whole exam fee and full material fee (if applicable), followed by 3 equal instalments of 25% of the tuition fee.
If your course is being paid for by your employer, you will need to fill out an Employer Agreement Form and provide a copy of your Employer’s letterhead or compliment slip. For more information contact our Finance team at financefees@bdc.ac.uk.
If you are in receipt of state benefits please bring evidence of the benefits you receive (this can be access to an online portal). Any evidence must be dated within one month from the date you enrol with us. Further assessment at enrolment will determine if a concession can be given.
If you are aged 19 and over, already hold a level 3 or equivalent qualification and you are enrolling onto a Level 3 course or above that is eligible for the Advanced Learner Loan, you will need to bring evidence of your loan application or confirmation of your loan from Student Finance England. If you would like to apply for your loan during progression, please bring your passport and National Insurance Number with you.
