This course is designed for young people aged 16-18, or up to 24. All learners must hold an EHCP who have Special Education Needs.

You may have special educational needs and disabilities such as behaviour emotional and social difficulties (BESD) Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), mild learning difficulties (MLD) and moderate learning difficulties (MLD) attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and opposition defiant disorder (ODD) and are working towards or at level 1 and want to improve your study skills and social integration within mainstream enjoinment.

You will be able to explore different working methods, time management, meeting the deadlines and working in line with the feedback offered and meeting the expectation of fast study pace. Different vocational sessions will be organised to help learners choose what they want to progress onto.

Your Individual Learning Plan will be designed to meet your needs and develop the skills that will help you make progress towards your future goals.

Please note that all applicants go through an assessment/interview process to ensure that they are offered the course that is best suited to them

On completion of this course, you will be able to progress onto a Level 2 qualification.

Career progression

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
