ESOL for 19+

Courses are flexible to fit around your needs.

We offer learning at the Rush Green campus and Barking Learning Centre; during mornings, afternoons and evenings; and between different study modes.

Courses start throughout the year: September, December and March.

ESOL courses are offered from pre-entry Level to Level 2. If you'd like to study an ESOL course, apply on this page and we’ll arrange for an initial skills check to make sure you're studying on the right course and the next available start date.

ESOL courses are aimed at improving your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. You can also expect to improve your vocabulary, fluency, accuracy and pronunciation.

You’ll take an exam at the end of your course.

We also offer vocational introductory courses, to help your progression onto mainstream courses. There are many options to choose from including Childcare, Health & Social Care, Business, Hairdressing, Digital and Maths.

On top of your study, you can volunteer to develop your learning further. Opportunities include volunteering as a shop assistant in one of our outlets and helping in classes with teaching other students. Volunteering will enhance your job prospects as well as improving your spoken English.
