ESOL courses are aimed at improving your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. You can also expect to improve your vocabulary, fluency, accuracy and pronunciation.
Courses are flexible to fit around your needs. We offer courses at the Rush Green campus and Barking Learning Centre; during mornings, afternoons and evenings; and between different study modes.

ESOL courses are offered from pre-entry Level to Level 2. If you'd like to study an ESOL course, apply on this page and we’ll arrange for an initial assessment to make sure you're studying on the right course.
Work experience
We also offer vocational introductory courses, to help your progression onto mainstream courses. There are many options to choose from including Childcare, Health & Social Care, Business, Hairdressing, Digital and Maths.
There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
