After you’ve enrolled, it’s time to really get to grips with what the college has to offer.
Freshers’ Week
Every September, there are a host of events at both our Rush Green and Central Barking campuses to welcome our new students.
Freshers’ Week is a great chance to:
- Find out more about the college’s facilities
- Learn about your study programme
- Meet fellow students
- Understand the support available to you
- See what activities you can get involved in
- Attend welcome talks and presentations
- Pick up some freebies!
You’ll be given dates and times for Freshers’ Week activities when you enrol. You can also keep up-to-date with events by following us on social media (see below).
Student support
During your first week you’ll be assigned a Personal or Progress Coach. Their role is to check your course study is going well, and that you’re comfortable with college life.
Your Freshers’ Week sessions will also introduce you to the other types of support available at the college, including health & wellbeing, counselling, childcare, financial support and careers advice.
Events
Once you’ve enrolled, it’ll also be a good idea to keep tabs on our website's homepage and to follow us on social media (see below). We'll keep these platforms up-to-date with details of guest speakers, careers fairs, competitions, course trips and shows.
Social media
Don’t forget to follow the college on social media platforms for the latest updates!
