On this course, you will build on the skills learnt at Level 1 of the Diploma to improve your knowledge, your qualifications and your employability!
On this course, you will learn:
- Higher-level paper-hanging (wallpapering) skills
- About different types of wallpaper and how to hang them
- How to paint walls using a powerful HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray unit
- How to master graining and marbling techniques
You will be assessed at different points during the course. There is also a practical and theory assessment at the end of the year.
You will need to have GCSE Maths, English Language and two additional subjects at grade 3 (D) or above.
As part of the application process you will also be asked to explain why you want to study this course, so that we can ensure any course offer made aligns to your career goals.
On successful completion of this course, you will be able to progress onto a Level 3. Alternatively, you can go straight into working in the trade or start your own Painting & Decorating business.
