This course is suitable for lead adult care workers, support workers and key workers in a range of adult care settings.
It will help you move on to either further learning or workplace employment.
You will develop the knowledge and skills required to work in a lead adult care worker role in a range of settings and supporting individuals with different needs.
You’ll study communication, personal development, equality and inclusion, duty of care, safeguarding, and health, safety and wellbeing. You’ll also be able to choose from a range of optional units to meet the requirements of adult care services.
You will provide ongoing evidence of your work including coursework, case studies and written accounts.
You will be working in a senior role, such as in medication or care planning, in an Adult Care setting and have already completed in Level 2 in Adult Care.
Entry to this course is dependent on the outcome of a Disclosing and Barring Service (DBS) check.
You can progress to an apprenticeship or qualification at Level 4 in Adult Care.
Alternatively, you can look to work in a nursing home, a day-care centre, clinical health centres or as home help.
