This course provides the specialist knowledge and skills you need to work in Electrical Inspection & Testing.
This qualification is intended for practicing electricians who want to expand their skills and knowledge, in the area of Initial Verification and/or Periodic Inspection, to continue professional development.
On this course, you’ll learn:
- Appropriate legislation
- Inspection and testing techniques
- Completing and issuing certificates or reports
- Understanding results and measurements
You will be required to complete a combination of written tests, practical assignments and online exams.
You will be required to hold a full Level 2 & 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation, along with a current Certificate in Electrical Regulations (18th Edition).
Due to the level of the course, it is a requirement that you have been a practicing electrician for at least two years, with some prior knowledge of testing, which will be assessed before enrolment. Proof of employment within the electrical industry will also be required.
On successful completion of this course, you will be able to progress onto the Level 4 City & Guilds Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations.
