Five sports apprentices have been signed to Dagenham and Redbridge FC.
Daniel Obi, 18, from Dagenham, Ellis Lawson, 16, from South Woodford, Junior Nkwonta, 17, of Grays, Billy Lawlor, 17 from Colchester and Aaron Blair, 21, from Hornchurch, have all been signed to Dagenham & Redbridge FC.
They are all enrolled on an Apprenticeship Level 3 in Sporting Excellence Professional which sees them attend college one day per week and work at the football club 4 days a week.
I am very pleased to be given this opportunity at the Club and Barking & Dagenham College - both have excellent reputations.
We are really pleased to have these apprentices and continue working in partnership with Dagenham and Redbridge FC to identify talent in the local and wider community. The apprentices will be good role models and the attainment of an apprenticeship will support them towards their future.
