Desks, chairs and computers in the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) at the Rush Green Campus

Learning Resource Centre

The LRC at our Rush Green campus is a hub for information.

It’s a Public Library, too – connected with libraries in neighbouring areas. Please contact us for more information by telephone on 0203 667 0100 or via email at library.staff@bdc.ac.uk

Information can be accessed via our PCs, within our books, by talking to our staff, and at drop-in sessions. This information can help you with your learning, your career research, and in making the most out of your time at the college.

Current learners are able to loan laptops/chromebooks to help with studies - please contact the LRC Team or drop in to request.

Photocopiers are also available for use by students, staff and the general public.

LRC opening times:

Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 6pm
Friday: 8:30am - 4pm

Please contact us for our opening hours outside of term time.

Online

We have PCs within the main LRC area and at Workspace in the East London IOT building. They are available to use whenever the LRC’s open. We also have Chromebooks which are available for daily use.

Books

The LRC has a range of course and career-related reading materials, as well as shelves of fiction. It also has an area for children. In addition, we have a variety of eBooks and databases to support you.

To pre order books from the LRC for collection, please email your request to library.staff@bdc.ac.uk

We’re able to access more books via other connected libraries.

Staff

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are here to help. They have knowledge on college events, support available, further resources, and they can point you in the right direction when it comes to coursework, learning and finding your way!

Speak to LRC staff to find out how you can get the most out of our resources, and your time at the college.

Drop-in sessions

Your tutors are likely to recommend the LRC for specific drop-in sessions to help you with your coursework. Stay up-to-date with drop-in session times by stopping by the LRC regularly.
