A plumbing Apprentice is showing the world just what she can do, by scooping another first-place win in her latest competition.

Daisy Turner, 25 took part in the ‘ESG and Friends All Female Plumbing and Electrical Competition’ which took place at Oaklands College, Hertfordshire.
During the competition, Daisy had to complete a pipework project. Each competitor was given a drawing to work on and was marked on accuracy, wastage of pipe and tidiness of their work area. Although Daisy faced tough competition, her skills shone through, and she was announced as the winner.
Daisy, who studies at Barking & Dagenham College, is no stranger to winning competitions. Last year, she was crowned both HIP Female Skills Competition winner and HIP Learner of the Year.
As first place winner of the ESG plumbing competition, Daisy received some incredible prizes that she’ll be able to use every day in her job. As well as a goody bag for taking part, Daisy won a Milwaukee pack out, a Dewalt laser level, a TPI gas analyser and a Rothenburger blow torch!
Commenting on her win Daisy said: “The competition was such a good experience. I loved taking part and I couldn’t believe I won! The prizes are incredible and are really going to come in handy at work. I just want to thank everyone who has been supporting me along the way, it’s really making everything possible for me. I’m keen to enter more competitions in the future.”
Lee Regan, Daisy’s tutor at Barking & Dagenham College added: “Daisy is really proving just what a talented plumber she is. She has an insane ability to stay calm and focused on high stress situations. She’s always been a pleasure to teach and always kept me on my toes! We are sure Daisy’s got a great future to come, and we’re excited to see what’s next for her.”
