Zoe lands role with leading British floral designers, Jane Packer

18th July 2016

Zoe Junnix, 19, from Ockendon, has recently landed a new job as a Florist with noted up-market British floral designer, Jane Packer Flowers London. RHS Gold Medal Winners, Jane Packer, also created the 4,800 Victory Bouquets for the medal winners at the London 2012 Olympics.

Zoe, who completed her City & Guilds in Floristry Level 2 at Barking & Dagenham College in 2013, worked locally before securing the job in London’s West End where she splits her time between Jane Packer HQ on New Cavendish Street and their concession in John Lewis Oxford Street.

“I create all types of floristry design,” explains Zoe, “from the large-scale creations for hotel receptions to small hand-held bouquets. The quality of the flowers at Jane Packer is amazing, just beautiful, and everything is delivered fresh from Holland.

“Floristry is continually changing, with new styles to learn and techniques to perfect. I love working with the different flowers and foliage.

“My favourite flower? It’s a pale pink Peony called Raspberry Sundae.

“My training at Barking & Dagenham College developed both my traditional and modern floristry skills. Fiz, our Lecturer, has so much experience and makes everything so easy to understand. She really knows what she is talking about.”
