20 students from the Technical Skills Academy are on an amazing work experience trip in Prague.
The three-week trip is organised through The Erasmus Programme (European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students), an EU student exchange programme established in 1987.
Two tutors Dilon Beqa (a business tutor) and Graham Woollard (an IT tutor) escorted the students over to Prague but then left them there to complete their work experience by themselves. The students will be returning to London on Friday 24th February.
Hilary Moore, Head of the Technical Skills Academy said: “This is the second year that our business students from the Technical Skills Academy have taken part in this project. They will have a lot of experiences to reflect on upon their return.”
Tutor Dilon Beqa co-ordinator for the Career Ready programme at the college, was recently named as the Santander Employability Champion for London and the South East; he is one of six regional winners and will appear before a panel of judges on the 1st of March. The winner will be announced at an Awards Dinner in London on 29th March.
