We celebrated the launch of our new public library by inviting local residents to enjoy a day of fun, magic and face painting!
The new library, at our Rush Green campus holds a massive range of books, e-books and audio books, DVDs and magazines. We are apart of the London Libraries Consortium, allowing all members access to over six million items of stock through a shared library catalogue, giving you access to 18 libraries across London. Our new library also has computers and photocopying facilities, all available for public use.
During the launch, local school children had fun finding new books, before being turned into superheroes and animals by the face painters.
While the adults got to have a look around and chat to staff about what is on offer.
Claire Cockburn, our library's manager, said: “We are delighted to be able to provide such a brilliant facility to the local community. Joining is free, so we really hope that everyone comes along to see what is on offer and take advantage of what is a fantastic service.”
Why not come visit us, Monday to Thursday 8.30am-.7pm, Friday 8.30am-5pm and Saturday 9am-1pm to sign-up?
