They will be holding trials to be part of the Daggers Development Squad.
Dagenham & Redbridge play in the Vanarama National League. The Community Academy Elite Team at Barking & Dagenham College will play in the U19 National League Alliance, ensuring plenty of player development through lots of competitive games and training throughout the week, including mid-week games.
The potential of a contract with the club is within reach of players and players could be paid after one year on the team.
Steve Thompson, Managing Director for the club said: “Player development is an important part of this club and we see this partnership with Barking & Dagenham College as an important part of our structure".
In addition to being part of the squad, the players will complete an educational course, based on players’ GCSE results. The course includes performance analysis and use of up-to-date software to analyse their own performance.
