Barking & Dagenham College student, Jennifer Lewthwaite, has just secured a C grade in GCSE English at the 7th retake attempt.
Jennifer, 19, from Dagenham, is moving from London to Hampshire after securing her first job after College as a Nursery Practitioner in the baby room at Kingsmead Day Nursery in Winchester, having just completed her CACHE Diploma in Early Years Education & Care at Level 3 at the College.
Jennifer couldn’t quite believe that her hard work had finally paid off when the longed-for results came through.
“My English lecturers, Michael Smith and Paul Roberts, were amazing,” she said “I can’t praise them enough. They were so helpful to me, putting on extra lessons. I’ve finally done it and I can hardly believe it.”
Fellow childcare students and twins Toni (above left) and Stephanie Parke, 18, from East Ham, who are on track to complete their CACHE Level 3 course in July 2017, had a double reason to celebrate. Toni achieved a B in her GCSE English retake and Stephanie secured a C in her GCSE Maths.
