A motivational speaker visited Barking & Dagenham College last week as part of the college?s the Black History Month activities.
John Akinde led two sessions with the students; in the first one, he talked about equality and diversity. The fun interactive workshop looked at how prejudice and discrimination impacts on individuals and explored ways that we can build racial equality and inclusion within the community.
The second session was called ‘I have a dream’; this motivational session explored the story of Martin Luther King. They looked at the blueprint of success in education and extra-curricular life, with other speakers and performers bringing the story of Martin Luther King to life.
