It?s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

10th December 2018

Barking & Dagenham College turned truly festive this week, as students and staff donned Christmas jumpers in aid of charity.

Sporting Santas, elves, bells and Rudolph’s galore, Christmas jumpers were everywhere!

To take part students and staff donated £1 each. The event was so popular; in total an amazing £400 was raised for a local charity called Ambition, Aspire, Achieve. The money will be used to help provide activities and opportunities for disadvantaged, vulnerable and at risk children in East London.

The charity provides a variety of clubs and holidays to children in need including activity-based holidays, cycle clubs and doorstep sports clubs.

Karen Boxall, Learner Involvement Coordinator at the College, said:

“It was brilliant to see so many students take part in such a good cause. It really shows how much they all care about making Christmas special for our local young people.

The corridors have never looked so colourful! There were so many great jumpers on show. It has really set the mood for a great Christmas."
