BDC proudly celebrated the exceptional talent, creativity and achievements of its learners at the highly anticipated Creative Showcase 2026.
The end-of-year event brought together students, staff, families and industry guests to recognise the outstanding work produced across the College’s creative curriculum throughout the academic year.
Visitors experienced an inspiring showcase of student work, featuring stunning art exhibitions, striking photography displays, innovative fashion collections, film projects, games design, 3D Design creations, animation, performing arts and production arts. The event highlighted the breadth of creative talent being nurtured at Barking & Dagenham College and demonstrated the passion, skill and dedication of its learners.
Guests were also treated to an exciting programme of live performances, a dynamic fashion catwalk, hair and beauty showcases, interactive demonstrations and the opportunity to explore a wide range of final projects. Each element of the evening reflected the creativity, innovation and technical excellence developed by students during their studies.
A special thank you goes to Final Checks Make Up Academy for preparing the models for the runway and helping bring the fashion showcase to life with professional styling and expertise.
Cenk Cevizli, Head of Creative Industries at Barking & Dagenham College, said: “Creative Showcase 2026 was a fantastic celebration of the passion, talent and hard work of our students. Throughout the year, our learners have pushed boundaries, developed their creative voices and produced work of an exceptional standard across a wide range of disciplines. It has been inspiring to see their growth, confidence and professionalism. We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved and excited to see the impact they will make in the creative industries in the future.”
The evening served as a celebration of student success and the incredible progress made over the year, while also highlighting the creative industries as exciting future career pathways for learners.
Student Courtney Wahome said: “Being part of the Creative Showcase has been an amazing experience. It gave me the chance to share my work with others and see how much I’ve grown this year. The support from my tutors and classmates has helped me build my confidence and develop my skills, and I’m really proud to have been part of such a special event.”
The showcase underscored Barking & Dagenham College’s commitment to developing industry-ready creative talent, equipping learners with the skills, experience and confidence needed to progress into higher education, employment and careers within the creative industries. The event also highlighted the College’s role in nurturing the next generation of artists, designers, performers and digital creators.
