Barking & Dagenham College finished as a finalist in the category for Support for Students at the annual Association of Colleges Beacon Awards.
Now in its 24th year, the AoC Beacon Awards showcase best practice and innovation in colleges. It is designed to promote the interdependence of colleges, businesses and professional and voluntary organisations. The awards also highlight excellence and helps share best practice across the sector.
Yvonne Kelly, Principal and CEO of Barking & Dagenham College, said: “I’m thrilled that we have been recognised for the excellent support that we give to our students. The credit for this recognition belongs to our dedicated team of staff who ensure that the wellbeing and success of our studentsis at the centreof everything we do.”
