A charity football match by Barking and Dagenham College has raised more than £1,200 for Haven House Children?s Hospice.

A charity football match by Barking and Dagenham College has raised more than £1,200 for Haven House Children’s Hospice.
Sixteen teams participated in the event on Saturday 8 October at the college grounds, including local businesses and two teams consisting of existing and former students.
The tournament was based on the UEFA European Championship format with each team representing a different nation.
Companies from across London took part including, K&M Decorating who entered five teams in the tournament, Hanover Building Services, HSS Plant Hire, Fix Auto and Pimlico Plumbers all entered one team each.
Several of the firms, including Pimlico Plumbers and K&M, support Barking and Dagenham College by providing apprenticeships to students.
Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said: “Congratulations to all of the teams who took part in a brilliant afternoon of football for life-limited children and their families in our local area.
“It was great to see so many local businesses raising funds for our cause and we would like to thank Barking and Dagenham College for putting on a fantastic event.”
