GCSE Maths success for Gary

27th August 2019

Adult learner Gary, 35, gained a Grade 5 in GCSE Maths this summer.

Gary, who works as a Healthcare Assistant in mental healthcare needed to achieve a GCSE in Maths in order to progress with his Nursing course at St George’s Hospital, where he currently works.

Having failed on his first exam attempt, deaf student Gary, with support from his deaf signers Michelle and Phil, passed with flying colours on his second attempt.

He is now looking forward to continuing with his studies and progressing further in his career in healthcare!

We are so proud of Gary for showing real commitment, perseverance and determination to achieve his grade 5 in Maths. He was very close last year and worked extra hard this year to achieve. He is a real role model to all adult students and is testament to not giving up.
