Flipping Good Fun at the TSA

Students and staff from the Technical Skills Academy in Barking held their annual Pancake Day race today.

Students from many different courses took part in the annual pancake race organised by English lecturer John Peacock.

Maths and English worksheets were also there to support literacy and numeracy skills on the day.

The pancakes were prepared by chef Drew and his catering students for the event.

In the Women’s Final, TSA staff members; Gill Mills and Jolaade Lawal, raced against each other. With Gill racing to sweet victory.

Jamie Corcoran a Plumbing student won the Men’s Final, against ESOL student Gani Dajci.

Once the races were over, the flipping competition commenced. Simram Jassal won best female flipper and Gani Dajci winning first prize in the Men’s Flipping competition for sheer height and accuracy.

The Pancake Olympians were then awarded medals by John for their efforts.
