Barking & Dagenham College was visited yesterday by 10 special guests from the Victorian Government of Australia to learn about UK colleges. They arranged the visit as they are interested to learn more about vocational education and training systems in the UK that may inform future reforms in Victoria in relation to apprenticeships. They were particularly interest to look at apprenticeships in the context of the changing economy.
The visit involved a tour of the facilities including the College’s STEM centre and iCreate, the College’s own industry-standard 1,000 m sq Creative and Digital training hub where students develop the skills needed by the growing creative digital sector.
