Barking Campus - The Broadway Theatre

A real, working theatre in the middle of Barking, The Broadway has a seated capacity of nearly 350!

Originally the Barking Assembly Hall, the theatre was designed in the 30s and opened in 1962. The college joined forces with the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham to redevelop and modernise it, and the venue was reopened in 2004.

The Broadway offers a modern, light and flexible space, and it boasts high-specification sound and lighting facilities, rehearsal rooms, a recording studio and a fully equipped music technology room.

It provides students with a realistic and hi-tech working environment in which they can collaborate, rehearse and perform as well as refining their skills in technical theatre production.

The Broadway is home to Performing Arts, Technical Theatre and Media Make-up courses.
