Interested in music and keen to find out more about how music is produced?

Whether you already have a basic understanding of music production or are looking to change career, on this short 6-week introductory course you’ll learn about the equipment and processes behind music performance and production so you're ready to take the next step in your studies or career.

On this 6-week course you’ll develop your understanding of both music and performance, improve your knowledge of the equipment used to produced music, and confidently start to edit your creations using digital technology.

You’ll need to have 4 GCSEs at grade 2 or above, or relevant experience, and a passion for learning more about the music and production arts industry.

The University of Arts creative short courses provide a great introduction to the ever-growing music and performance arts industry.

Not only will you have developed your knowledge and understanding by the end of this course, but you’ll also have the opportunity to develop your skills further by progressing to one of our specialist higher education courses in the creative arts.

Where it can lead to

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
