Thinking about a career in business or retail?
There are lots of local new, micro and small business needing trained customer service and retail staff to help their business grow. On this 1-year entry level course, you’ll start to develop the business and retail skills so that you’ll be ready to step into work and provide an excellent service to customers.
On completion of the course, you may want to progress either to a Level 1 course and develop your skills and knowledge further, into work at an entry level position, or onto an Apprenticeship.
On this course, you will study a range of mandatory and optional units in both business and retail, and employability skills.
You will be assessed through coursework, presentations and group work.
There are no formal entry requirements on this course.
On successful completion of this course, you could progress to the Level 1 course in Business and Retail to further develop your skills and knowledge in this area. There is a strong focus on transferable employability skills on this course, which means that you could also progress to a Level 1 course in a different subject.
You may wish to continue your studies, enter the workplace at an entry level position, or continue with an Apprenticeship and earn and learn at the same time.
