This course is ideal for established or soon-to-be-established managers who want to enhance and share their skills and knowledge through mentoring or coaching.

A mentor or coach can play a critical role in helping someone to achieve their professional goals. The benefits of mentoring and coaching are well-known to include developing leadership skills, increased knowledge transfer, greater motivation, as well as job satisfaction.

If you work in a learning, training, or professional development role, this qualification will equip you with the practical skills and knowledge you need to provide crucial support to colleagues and peers.

This Level 3 Qualification in Coaching and Mentoring is designed for supervisors and first-line managers, to support the development of coaching and mentoring skills and techniques of individuals and teams, alongside working to achieve organisational objectives. This qualification complements a successful career or progression into leadership and management.

On this course, you will learn:

  • Principles, skills, and impact of coaching and mentoring
  • Establish key coaching and mentoring relationships and skills
  • Support the development of individuals and teams
  • Develop your skills in managing team dynamics, equality, and diversity

You will be assessed through coursework, group work, essays and a portfolio.

You will need to have GCSE English at Grade 3 or above, or Functional Skills in English at Level 2.

On completion of this course, you will be able to progress on to the CMI Level 3 in Leadership and Management.
