The Metropolitan Police are currently recruiting 25,000 officers, with a specific focus on recruiting new officers from ethnic minority backgrounds (BAME).
Thinking about a career as a police officer but don’t yet have the necessary entry qualifications? Our Access to Higher Education course is a great option for students aged 19+ who are planning to apply for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and related HE Policing entry degree programmes.
Developed in collaboration with experienced Met police officers, this course subject specific units include:
- Evidence Based Policing
- Conflict Management within Policing
- Police Ethics and Values
- The Criminal Justice System and Victim Care
- Principles of Conducting a Police Investigation
You’ll also be able to choose from a range of optional units, whilst also improving your academic writing, communication skills, problem solving and building resilience.
You will complete coursework, assignments and external exams.
To be eligible for this course, you'll need to have Functional Skills or GCSEs in Maths and English at Level 2.
This Diploma has been designed for progression onto the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and related HE Policing entry degree programmes.
