This short introductory course will help you to develop those all-important employability skills so you’re ready to enter employment.

Build your confidence, communication skills and personal effectiveness so you’re prepared for those first steps into a working environment or a different job.

You’ll learn more about business needs and understand what customers want, as well as what to expect during those early days in a new job or company.

You’ll learn more about:

  • Problem solving and solutions
  • Target setting and managing your time
  • Working with others
  • Identifying processes and procedures at work
  • Following instructions

On this short course you’ll develop skills needed in preparation for finding work, including:

  • Job and training search skills
  • Job application skills
  • CV writing
  • Interview skills.

You’ll complete class activities and projects to show your understanding. There are no exams on this course.

This is a great short introductory course for anyone preparing to enter the world of work. There are no formal entry requirements needed for this course.

By the end of this course you’ll have begun to develop your confidence, communication and work-readiness skills so you’re ready to take the next step in finding employment. You could search and apply for jobs, or continue with your studies at Level 1 or 2 to further develop your skills and knowledge.
