Develop your skills in a fast growing sector in the South East.

Performing and production arts is booming in the UK creative industries. With multi-million pound film studios and development projects in the South East and particularly our Borough, more people will be needed to fill positions across London and the southeast by 2022, so it is the perfect time to retrain and develop new skills.

This University of Arts creative short course will give you a taste of the ever-growing performing and production arts industry and the opportunity to develop your skills further by potentially progressing to our specialist HE courses.


We recognise the importance of developing skills to a high standard and this course offers potential adult learners the chance to improve your knowledge of the performance and production arts industry and change or develop your career path.

You will cover two assessed units over six weeks and will gain knowledge of a range of creative drawing skills including, scaling, proportion, tonal work, and visual recording.

By the end of this course you will have good command of equipment and process, as well as use of digital knowledge to edit your work.

If you're looking for a taste of a real-life industry based experience, access to industry software and outstanding facilities, BDC is the place for you.

This course will be assessed through practical visual assessment and feedback via google classroom.

Our tutors are industry-based to ensure your learning is current and relevant to current practices.

This course will allow you to develop skills and understanding of performing and production arts to enter the industry, or continue your studies on one of our higher level production arts courses.
