Adobe After Effects is one of the main platforms used in the motion graphics, VFX and animation sectors.

If you're interested in building your skills for industries in graphic design, film making or you're an aspiring video artist or YouTuber - this short course is for you!

This course will cover all of the skills you'll need to get started.

You'll learn to:

  • understand the After Effects interface
  • work with comps and pre-comps
  • use keyframes to move/animate an object
  • apply basic animation to text
  • optimise preferences
  • render and export an After Effects project into different video formats

In addition to your lessons, there will be a range of learning resources placed on Google Classroom for you to access in your own time. This will help you to review and practice as and when you wish.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but you'll need to be confident using a computer.

Our experienced tutors will ensure you learn through a mix of instruction, demonstration and the opportunity to practice, ensuring you complete this course with the confidence you need to work independently.

On successful completion of this course you'll be able to edit and produce basic content in Adobe After Effects.

You could continue your studies in a related creative digital course.

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
