Whether you're already working front-of-house or are looking to take your first step into a customer-facing role in one of the service industries, you’ll need some solid skills under your belt.

On this course you'll learn how to provide excellent customer service and how best to meet your customers' needs. These skills will help you to deliver a better experience for your customers and improve your career prospects in a range of customer-facing roles in retail, hospitality, hairdressing or beauty therapy.

Thinking about setting up your own business? Having excellent customer service skills can help you to build your business network and keep your customers satisfied.

By the end of the course you will know how to:

  • deliver efficient and reliable customer service
  • use different communication methods
  • provide good customer service in line with organisational procedures
  • effectively deal with customer queries, problems and complaints.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course, but you’ll need to show a keen interest in developing your customer service skills.

On completion of this course, you’ll be awarded a Level 1 in Customer Service and will have gained valuable and transferrable skills to work in a range of customer service roles across different industries.

To further develop your skills and experience, you could progress to study the Level 2 in Customer Service.

Where it can lead to

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
