By studying this course at the Broadway Theatre in Barking, you'll develop an insight into the skills and knowledge required, not only for working in the music industry, but also for employment in a wide range of roles.
On this course you'll learn:
- how to set up and operate audio/MIDI sequencing software
- how to create music using audio/MIDI sequencing software
- how to edit audio files and distinguish between different audio formats
- how to apply sound effect production techniques to music or other sound products, such as adverts, podcasts or audiobooks.
You'll complete practical assignments to showcase your understanding and skills in setting up and operating audio software, creating music using audio software, audio editing and sound effect techniques in music production.
To be eligible for this course you'll need to have a Level 1 qualification in a related subject area.
On completion of this course you will have achieved an NCFE Level 2 qualification in Music Technology. You'll be able to further develop your skills and understanding by progressing to a Level 3 course in Music Technology or you could choose to go directly into employment.
