The award in printmaking short course is an introduction to different printmaking techniques and is also one of the fastest-growing industries in the UK with the design and graphics industry providing more jobs for people during the pandemic and continues to grow as an area.
By trying these, hands-on, you will gain a broad practical overview of how prints are made and have experience of processes you may wish to develop further.
Learners will cover two assessed units over six weeks and will gain knowledge of a range of Print Making skills including, Lino Print, Dry Point, Photoshop, etc.
You will be assessed on 2 units over a 6 week period.
This short course is suitable for anyone who would like to gain an insight into the various printmaking techniques. Basic drawing skills would be an advantage.
You could go on to study the subject at more advanced levels on full or part-time courses, or maybe be encouraged to strengthen your skills in other areas, particularly in drawing, via many courses at BDC
