If you already work in, or are thinking about a career in local authorities, schools, colleges, uniformed services or health and social care, you'll need to be aware of safeguarding and the Prevent duty and how to include these principles in your day-to-day work.

This course is delivered entirely online and can be studied at a pace that suits you. You could complete in as little as 9 weeks dependent on the time you can commit.

On this course you will study:

  • Understanding the Prevent Duty
  • Understanding Safeguarding
  • Understanding Online Safety

This Level 2 course is free if you:

  • currently live in England
  • are aged 19+
  • have been a resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years
  • are not be on an apprenticeship

On successful completion of this course, you’ll have earned a NCFE CACHE Level 2 certificate which could also help you progress your career, or enter a new sector – whilst developing the knowledge of safeguarding and the Prevent duty required for a range of settings.

Where it can lead to

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
